Morning Routine to Help You get Out of That Funk!

We all have those days… weeks…

Listen I totally get it. Some days it may seem harder to get out of bed. My millennial is showing but, some days you don’t feel like adulting. If you can show up to your day just one hour earlier, you have the power to change your day! 

The S.A.V.E.R.S Morning Method

This has recently been all over every one of my social media platforms as of late. I’m so grateful for it! If you haven’t seen this because your FYP is full of dance videos, let me fill you in real quick.

  • S – Silence
  • A – Affirmations
  • V – Visuals
  • E – Exercise
  • R – Read
  • S – Scripting

That’s it, that’s all you have to do to supercharge your morning! Just 10 minutes per activity and look at all you’ve accomplished before you even drink your coffee. I’ve dabbled doing this in and out for about two months now. I’m jumping in full force for the next month. This a journey we can go on together. Honestly, the days I was doing this, my days were better, by a lot.

I made this easy chart to remember all the steps when you’re feeling groggy! I love to start in a silent room and listen to a 10 minute guided meditation. Next, I say affirmations (you can find some here) quietly to myself for 10 minutes still sitting where I meditated. I spend the next 10 minutes visualizing how I would like my day to go, still sitting (told you this was easy.) Time for 10 minutes of movement, I like to keep this light with yoga or deep stretching. For the next 10 minutes, back sitting in a comfy spot with a good book! Now the best part, writing in your journal that’s for your eyes only. Be candid, be raw, be silly, write whatever because no one other than you needs to see this, but it helps organize thoughts before you even think of them.
