I mean who doesn’t like fried pickles?
I did a poll last week over on my Instagram and you guys voted to have me veganize Disneyland fried pickle recipe and BOY OH BOY am I grateful! These were AMAZING, had plenty of flavor, and even more crunch! The dipping sauce really brought everything together and was super easy to make.
- 3/4 cup of flour
- 1 cup vegan buttermilk (1 cup soy milk + 1 TBSP lemon juice)
- 1/2 tsp dried dill
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3 TBSP JUST egg
Prepare vegan “buttermilk” by mixing soy milk and lemon juice.
Add everything to a bowl and mix together until uniform.
- 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup Follow your Heart Parm shreds
Mix together until uniform.
- 1/4 cup Vegan Mayo
- 1 TBSP Ketchup
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp hot sauce
- 1/4 tsp Lawry’s Garlic Salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
What you’ll do
Dry off Pickles with a paper towel or clean kitchen towel
add pickles to the wet batter to coat
roll in dry batter until coated
place in the air fryer at 400 for 11 – 14 minutes – all air fryers are different so keep an eye on them, I’d suggest starting to checking at around 8 minutes to be safe!
while pickles are in the air fryer prepare the dipping sauce and put in the fridge until ready to eat!
