Welcome to the Disney Store

I recently went to the Disney outlet in Round Rock, TX and memories of the old Disney Store came flooding into my brain.

You know the one, it was probably in your local mall and when you were a kid you begged to go inside. (Luckily my parents were always down). It was its own little magical adventure! The window displays would twist and turn and you’d almost forget to look as you ran back to the plush mountain/movie screen.

This might be embedded in my brain forever. It was always magically playing your favorite cartoon and you’d have to fight the temptation to dive into your favorite characters.

Now that I think about it, the organization of the characters is probably what caused my slight OCD as an adult.

I never wanted a Barbie Dream House, I always wanted a mini version of the stores’ windows. Even now looking at it, I wish it was interactive. I’ve seen rumors you can buy these figures on eBay, so don’t be surprised if one pops up in my house!

The marvelous people who worked here really made you feel like you were a little closer to Disney!

Do you guys remember when the stores looked like this, or have a special memory? Let me know in the comments!

    1. Thanks for stopping by the blog Sam! I’m so happy you got some flashbacks, whenever I think of the Disney store I can almost smell the big pile of stuffed animals, what’s your favorite memory?
