Living with the Land

It’s Future World Friday!

One of my favorite rides is Living with the Land for a couple of reasons, there is very rarely a wait (always a plus in Disney), It is a great place to cool off from all the walking you do in Epcot, and you will for sure learn something!

This is a slow boat ride with no height requirement, everyone is welcome! The ride opens in a rainforest making us believe that the forces of what shape the land is destructive to us, and goes on to explain how we interact with the land is how we let it help us grow while growing all it has to offer us! This is still Disney though so it shows us in the most fun way!

After riding through these cool scenes you enter an AMAZING greenhouse!

Many of your favorite foods like chocolate, coffee, vanilla, and rice grow on trees, vines and now even in soil-less environments! Disney is of course is using innovative growing techniques and cross-breeding high-yield crops with the goal of sustaining our growing global population. It is really a wonder to see! They even have a few mickey shaped items growing so be on the look out for those!

Your boat will even pass by some BIG fish! These exhibits are always changing so be prepared for some surprises!

My favorite part is they serve what they grow in Sunshine Seasons and The Garden Grill! Grab a bite after the ride! What’s your favorite part of this ride, or your favorite dish to grab because of this ride? Let me know in the comments!

  1. One of my favorite ride as well! If you take a look up once you see that farm house, I believe, you can see window to the garden grill restaurant. Have not eaten at garden grill in years, last time was when it was character dining with chip and dale, they served eatable flowers and the room moved very slowly around while dinner was served!
